USA Self-Found List

Rules: birds that I have found myself. This list is also Lower 48 Self-found since there's nothing I've seen in Canada that isn't duplicated elsewhere and I have not birded Alaska. I have included birds for which I knew the right habitat for and saw (also included grouse at known leks) but have excluded any specific individual birds that I had directions to. So for example Long-eared Owl is only in the list because of the CPK fly-over bird. I self-found list is decently long precisely because I do most of my long birding trips myself. I've excluded birds found for me on pelagics, but not birds seen by myself on pelagics - this starts to become tricky but..... The excluded list includes:
